I have just discovered the registration papers for my first and second ever cars. That was 39 years and hundreds of cars ago. Both 1st and 2nd cars were J Vans, the first one being an Ex Tip Top Bakery J of Late 1953 or early 1954 (Car Number 22262 registration #AZY 055) and the next vehicle was a very early Possibly 1950 J Type. This one was an Ex NRMA (National Roads and Motorists Association)van then it became a 'Goldsmith's TV Rental' van and it had round side lights but a steel floor. The rego number (AAD 390) puts it at 1951 and according to the 1972 papers the serial # is 20162014 and engine # is N582127P. I have one very cruddy shot of early one after it died and a few of the Tip Top one when it was on the road. Any clues on the 8 digit #? Vans that early seem to be only 4 digit or 5 at most.
