MOD 659 Morris Z van. My first restoration. Bought from the West of England Transport collection at Winkleigh in 1975. Restored over three years. Sold in 1988, whereabouts not known, possibly split from its registration.
Well lets bring the story up to date.
Well we have more news on this our first restoration from way back in 1975.
The van is fully road legal always has been, never let the previous owner down in 30 years of ownership. One or two little jobs to do but in the main it will be a show vehicle.
We would love to reunite it with its original registration number but that is another thing to do, I hope that won't take 30 years!
Some Jobs on the Morris have been recently tackled. April 2011.
To remove and make good the false sign writing and base paint work, also to repair some paint work scuffs around the vehicle.

Pictures of the van when it was restored to its original livery taken around 1982.
Sold in 1988 and off it went to a private museum.
The new owner sold its original registration number which is now on a Mod's scooter!
We lost track of it and recently saw a similar van on e-bay. Checking with the seller it turned out to be the same van, we just had to purchase it, like buying back and old friend.
Our first drive was like putting on an old pair of slippers, fantastic it was like we had never been parted.
